Doyne’s was established in the mid 1950s by George Doyne, a Dutch migrant with a wealth of growing knowledge and a love of flowers. Doyne‘s started as a small flower farm incorporating mixed lines with a focus on tulips and gladioli for customers in the Melbourne and Sydney Wholesale Flower Markets.
By the early 1980s Doyne’s made the innovative decision to grow liliums. Starting with a mere 10,000 stems per year we currently produce over 5 million stems for wholesale and retail customers and supermarket outlets Australia wide. By the late 1990s we refined what we do best and are now exclusively lilium growers. Doyne’s are one of Australia’s largest grower of liliums.
With a growing capacity of 50,000 square metres of fully automated greenhouses for autumn, winter and spring crops and 30,000 square metres of shade greenhouses for summer growing, we are able to produce the highest quality of liliums every week of the year. Consistent supply, and the ability to produce the large quantities required for the major floral days of Mothers Day, Valentine’s Day, Christmas and Chinese New Year, gives you the certainty that you can always rely on Doyne’s.
Located in the Yarra Valley, 40km east of Melbourne, an area renowned for its many and varied produce crops, we practise growing principles of environmentally sustainable farming using new and advanced biological techniques to promote and maintain the health of the soil. Growing nature’s way in the rich, red, Yarra Valley earth promotes strong stems in plants, deeper colour of foliage and greater vitality of flowers.
We pride ourselves on being at the forefront of many new varieties introduced to the Australian market place. Constantly testing to select the best in:
